في سابقة مهمة ، اعتمدت هيئة الدواء المصرية في قائمتها البيضاء للمواد المرجعية مجموعة من المواد المنتجة في مركز "نواة للأبحاث العلمية" كأول جهة إنتاج مصرية تحصل مركباتها على هذا الاعتماد الرفيع المستوى ، وكما هو معروف فإن تصنيع وإتاحة المواد المرجعية محليا أمر بالغ الأهمية حيث يتم الاعتماد على تلك المواد ومقارنتها بالأدوية قبل طرحها بالأسواق. ويجب أن تكون المواد المرجعية عالية النقاوة ومحددة التركيز حتى يتم الاستعانة بها كمادة معيارية للتأكد من جودة ونقاء المركبات المستخدمة في صناعة الدواء ورفض واستبعاد الأدوية غير المطابقة للمواصفات الفنية لهيئة الدواء المصرية مما يحافظ على صحة المريض وسمعة الأدوية المصرية دوليا.
