Cell-Based Assays
Anti-inflammatory activity in macrophage cells
EGP650.00 – EGP1,550.00 / sampleInflammation is a complex process that has been implicated with serious illnesses such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, obesity, fatty liver, asthma, microbial infection, and Alzheimer’s disease. There has been a lack of effective anti-inflammatory agents that combat these pathological effects of inflammation with few side effects.

Cell migration / Wound healing assay
EGP875.00 / compoundIn vitro scratch assay is an easy, fast and well-developed method to measure normal cell migration and tumor cell invasion. It resembles the functional confirmation for (endothelial-Mesenchymal Transition) EMT gene family switch-on.

Cellular Drug Uptake by Flow cytometry
EGP700.00 – EGP1,000.00 / compound- Cellular uptakeplays an essential role in drug bioactivity, for example, the internalization and accumulation of drugs into cancer cells are crucial for the therapeutic effect against tumors.
- Flow cytometry has the advantage of measuring the fluorescence of individual Cells, accordingly it can measure the cellular uptake, entrapment, and accumulation of any fluorescent drug accurately and quantitatively.
- Flow cytometry can measure all aspects of cellular pharmacokinetics including the intracellular uptake, entrapment, and accumulation of any fluorescent drug accurately and quantitatively.
- with relatively weak fluorescence due to high laser excitation and a high-gain photomultiplier system.
- Non-fluorescent drugs can be evaluated as well after conjugation with a suitable fluorophore.

Cellular Drug Uptake by HPLC
EGP1,250.00 / compoundMeasuring the transport or internalization of biologically active molecules (drugs, nanoparticles,) into cells that are key factors in
- The discovery and development of novel drugs.
- Determination of the compound’s potency and efficacy.
- Limiting the toxic effects and increasing the desired effects.
- Estimating the drug selectivity that often depends on the presence or absence of specific transporters.

Cytotoxicity assays
EGP200.00 – EGP1,500.00 / compoundCytotoxicity assays are widely used in the domain of pharmaceutical research. Applications include screening for cytostatic and cytotoxic anti-cancer drugs, measurement of cell proliferation (IC50 values) in response to different drugs, extracts, formulations, growth factors, cytokines, mitogens and nutrients, and assessment of physiological mediators that inhibit cell growth.

Flow cytometric assays
EGP400.00 – EGP900.00 / sampleFlow cytometry is a technique used to detect and measure the physical and chemical characteristics of a population of cells or particles. A sample containing cells or particles is suspended in a fluid and injected into the flow cytometer instrument. The sample is focused to ideally flow one cell at a time through a laser beam and the light scattered is characteristic to the cells and their components. Cells are often labeled with fluorescent markers so that light is first absorbed and then emitted in a band of wavelengths. Tens of thousands of cells can be quickly examined and the data gathered are processed by a computer.

Hypoxic cytotoxicity assay
EGP1,000.00 / compoundHypoxic cytotoxicity assay measures the anticancer effects of synthetic and natural products in conditions that mimic the microenvironment of cancer. Cancer cells have altered metabolism, and most solid tumors suffer from significantly lowered oxygen concentration than in healthy tissues. Such hypoxic conditions change the response of cancer cells to drugs; therefore, assessing the anticancer effects of drugs in hypoxic conditions will reflect the real cytotoxic effect and better simulate the microenvironment of cancer.
This assay is done only via SRB staining, using hypoxic chambers (Anaero Pack, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Co., Tokyo, Japan).

Multipurpose treated-flasks
EGP350.00 – EGP700.00 / compoundMultipurpose treated-flasks
Multipurpose treated-flasks is a service that was launched based on our customers’ needs. Thanks to the quality of our cells, researchers can choose a cell line from a wide range of different cancer type, treat the flasks with the drugs of interest and then use these flasks in a variety of assays. Further assays include but not limited to Western Blot, PCR, Flow Cytometry, RTqPCR, ELISA kits and Immunoprecipitation. The service aims to save the researcher’s time and effort; and assist the scientific community.
