Exosomes referrers to the cytokines and growth factors secreted by the cells in the form of vesicles ranging from nanovesicles to micro vesicles and often referred to as extracellular vesicles. These vesicles contain proteins, mRNA, growth factors and cytokines that play a major role in cell communication, and in case of stem cell-derived exosomes, they stimulate the healing and repairing powers of the damaged tissues, harnessing the power of stimulating endogenous stem and progenitor cells to proliferate and increase the levels of regeneration giving the main advantage of acellular therapy.
1. Stem cell-derived exosomes:
We offer high-grade purified mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes and extracellular vesicles for in vitro studies or in vivo applications.
2. Quantification and characterization of stem cell-derived exosomes:
We offer quantification of the number of exosomes in solutions, frozen and lyophilized samples using nanoparticle quantification, in addition to the specific markers characterization using flow cytometry.
Exosomes are natural, intrinsic, cell-derived inter-cellular communication phospholipid membrane nanovesicles in the size range of 40-100 nm. Besides carrying several cell-derived growth factor, they can serve as a great tool for intracellular drug delivery.
These biologically natural nanocarriers possess many advantages such as:
1- They are known to bypass biological barriers, such as the blood-brain barrier.
2- Exosomes have the property of homing, making them helpful in tissue targeting.
3- High biocompatibility.
4- Cargo protection from degradation.
Due to these promising properties exosomes can be used as drug delivery carrier.
